The Namibian Economic Policy Research Unit (NEPRU)
Set up in February of 1990, having as its main objectives: to assist the government of independent Namibia through research for policy formulation and decision-making in strategic macro and socio- economic areas; to build an information resource base on Namibian affairs; and to train Namibians in relevant skills. NEPRU is an autonomous institution, governed by an independent, charitable and educational trust, the Namibian Policy Research Trust.

An organisation of free independent sovereign states which have agreed to co-operate in developing their natural and human resources for the good of all their people'. With its 21 member states and population of 385 million it forms a major integrated trading block.
